Introduction
In this video I have tried to discuss how we see the world. I have talked about the two main ways we see the world:
- From internal towards outside (How we see something)
- From outside towards in (How we “think” world see us)
I’ve tried to convey the dillusion and confusion this can lead to, also acknowledging that I am no guru in it. I felt this was a good topic for a discussion.
So please leave any comments, or feedback.
I hope you enjoy this video.

00:00:00,240 –> 00:00:04,720
good morning my name is nimesh from
2
00:00:02,960 –> 00:00:07,359
melbourne australia
3
00:00:04,720 –> 00:00:08,320
today i also thought again that i’ll do
4
00:00:07,359 –> 00:00:11,280
a youtube video
5
00:00:08,320 –> 00:00:13,519
as a instead of writing a blog so
6
00:00:11,280 –> 00:00:17,760
today’s topic i chose
7
00:00:13,519 –> 00:00:20,560
uh how do i see now what i noticed
8
00:00:17,760 –> 00:00:22,400
a couple of days ago actually last night
9
00:00:20,560 –> 00:00:26,640
quite strongly
10
00:00:22,400 –> 00:00:31,359
is that there’s two ways i see the world
11
00:00:26,640 –> 00:00:36,640
first one is from inside outwards
12
00:00:31,359 –> 00:00:39,680
and more often than not inside outward
13
00:00:36,640 –> 00:00:40,879
you notice either something you you find
14
00:00:39,680 –> 00:00:43,760
really beautiful
15
00:00:40,879 –> 00:00:44,640
or pleasing or you find something that
16
00:00:43,760 –> 00:00:47,680
is
17
00:00:44,640 –> 00:00:49,600
not so pleasing and and you see
18
00:00:47,680 –> 00:00:51,520
many other things but i think you
19
00:00:49,600 –> 00:00:55,520
concentrate on those two extremes
20
00:00:51,520 –> 00:00:58,719
a lot more and those
21
00:00:55,520 –> 00:00:59,840
memories then later once we’ve finished
22
00:00:58,719 –> 00:01:01,920
with it
23
00:00:59,840 –> 00:01:03,199
then starts the process of seeing from
24
00:01:01,920 –> 00:01:05,199
outside in
25
00:01:03,199 –> 00:01:06,400
at least for myself where if it is a
26
00:01:05,199 –> 00:01:08,720
pleasing
27
00:01:06,400 –> 00:01:11,600
thought and if it involved an
28
00:01:08,720 –> 00:01:15,520
interaction of some description
29
00:01:11,600 –> 00:01:19,280
then you start to imagine what how they
30
00:01:15,520 –> 00:01:20,479
saw you so and it’s completely an
31
00:01:19,280 –> 00:01:22,720
imagination
32
00:01:20,479 –> 00:01:23,840
and it’s an interpretation more often
33
00:01:22,720 –> 00:01:26,960
than not
34
00:01:23,840 –> 00:01:27,840
this interpretation can go vastly wrong
35
00:01:26,960 –> 00:01:30,720
because
36
00:01:27,840 –> 00:01:32,560
we don’t know they’re they’re them at
37
00:01:30,720 –> 00:01:35,920
all we don’t know how they see
38
00:01:32,560 –> 00:01:38,960
from there inside to outside towards us
39
00:01:35,920 –> 00:01:41,040
but these two
40
00:01:38,960 –> 00:01:42,799
methods of seeing the world although has
41
00:01:41,040 –> 00:01:43,920
its benefits there’s a fly bothering me
42
00:01:42,799 –> 00:01:47,520
actually
43
00:01:43,920 –> 00:01:50,560
although it has its benefits uh
44
00:01:47,520 –> 00:01:54,560
can also cause quite a bit of
45
00:01:50,560 –> 00:01:56,240
delusion um even how we see the world
46
00:01:54,560 –> 00:01:59,280
like from inside outwards
47
00:01:56,240 –> 00:02:01,680
uh now unless we are seeing
48
00:01:59,280 –> 00:02:02,719
uh like let’s take a simple object like
49
00:02:01,680 –> 00:02:08,319
a flower
50
00:02:02,719 –> 00:02:10,319
now we we don’t call a flower a
51
00:02:08,319 –> 00:02:12,400
a sentient being from a buddhist
52
00:02:10,319 –> 00:02:14,560
scripture point of view
53
00:02:12,400 –> 00:02:15,760
so we we assume the flower can’t think
54
00:02:14,560 –> 00:02:18,080
clear can’t see
55
00:02:15,760 –> 00:02:18,959
et cetera and probably scientifically
56
00:02:18,080 –> 00:02:21,760
also those
57
00:02:18,959 –> 00:02:22,480
facts are proven so but when we look at
58
00:02:21,760 –> 00:02:24,640
a flower
59
00:02:22,480 –> 00:02:26,400
we call it beautiful we see the colors
60
00:02:24,640 –> 00:02:29,680
we see all the things
61
00:02:26,400 –> 00:02:30,640
but have you ever wondered what the
62
00:02:29,680 –> 00:02:33,680
flower era
63
00:02:30,640 –> 00:02:34,840
thinks of that that itself is the beauty
64
00:02:33,680 –> 00:02:38,480
of the flower
65
00:02:34,840 –> 00:02:40,319
but we if we start to imagine
66
00:02:38,480 –> 00:02:43,519
what the flower is going to see in us
67
00:02:40,319 –> 00:02:47,280
instead of flower being itself
68
00:02:43,519 –> 00:02:49,440
how vastly could get things get diluted
69
00:02:47,280 –> 00:02:50,400
have i mastered this art of any of what
70
00:02:49,440 –> 00:02:54,160
i’m saying
71
00:02:50,400 –> 00:02:56,239
definitely no and my own observations
72
00:02:54,160 –> 00:02:58,000
are what i blog about
73
00:02:56,239 –> 00:02:59,760
sometimes i get thoroughly confused
74
00:02:58,000 –> 00:03:01,760
about all those things and then i go
75
00:02:59,760 –> 00:03:05,040
okay let’s just be very present and just
76
00:03:01,760 –> 00:03:09,440
observe what’s around us
77
00:03:05,040 –> 00:03:12,640
and related to this topic i also noticed
78
00:03:09,440 –> 00:03:15,599
actually yeah i did notice a little baby
79
00:03:12,640 –> 00:03:16,959
once here with the mother i’m sitting in
80
00:03:15,599 –> 00:03:19,840
the over my most favorite i will just
81
00:03:16,959 –> 00:03:19,840
let me show you around
82
00:03:20,080 –> 00:03:24,319
my most favorite oval near my house and
83
00:03:22,640 –> 00:03:25,519
what i noticed was the baby the minute
84
00:03:24,319 –> 00:03:28,400
the the mother kept
85
00:03:25,519 –> 00:03:29,440
the little one on on the ground it just
86
00:03:28,400 –> 00:03:31,360
started running
87
00:03:29,440 –> 00:03:32,879
across the street like you could across
88
00:03:31,360 –> 00:03:34,239
the field you couldn’t even imagine that
89
00:03:32,879 –> 00:03:36,080
it could do that
90
00:03:34,239 –> 00:03:37,440
that fast and the mother started running
91
00:03:36,080 –> 00:03:39,519
behind it and i
92
00:03:37,440 –> 00:03:41,599
if you sit and wonder what they would
93
00:03:39,519 –> 00:03:43,599
have taught
94
00:03:41,599 –> 00:03:45,680
the little baby wouldn’t have even seen
95
00:03:43,599 –> 00:03:46,319
the grass or the flowers or the things
96
00:03:45,680 –> 00:03:49,440
that i
97
00:03:46,319 –> 00:03:49,920
noticed it would have just seen space so
98
00:03:49,440 –> 00:03:53,120
much
99
00:03:49,920 –> 00:03:55,599
space there’s so much and
100
00:03:53,120 –> 00:03:57,760
just running probably is an expression
101
00:03:55,599 –> 00:04:01,120
of
102
00:03:57,760 –> 00:04:02,879
this is so good um how often do we do
103
00:04:01,120 –> 00:04:04,560
that
104
00:04:02,879 –> 00:04:06,080
it’s it’s instead we are in our own
105
00:04:04,560 –> 00:04:08,480
minds or
106
00:04:06,080 –> 00:04:10,319
or just like what i’m doing now thinking
107
00:04:08,480 –> 00:04:12,879
about a past experience and
108
00:04:10,319 –> 00:04:13,439
talking to you is it bad is it good i
109
00:04:12,879 –> 00:04:14,959
don’t know
110
00:04:13,439 –> 00:04:17,120
but i thought it’s a good topic to
111
00:04:14,959 –> 00:04:19,919
discuss
112
00:04:17,120 –> 00:04:21,280
i hope you you took something out of
113
00:04:19,919 –> 00:04:23,840
this
114
00:04:21,280 –> 00:04:24,639
food for thinking uh some spiritual
115
00:04:23,840 –> 00:04:28,800
gurus will
116
00:04:24,639 –> 00:04:30,800
critique the food for thinking but uh
117
00:04:28,800 –> 00:04:32,400
this is who i am and this is what my
118
00:04:30,800 –> 00:04:35,680
mind does so
119
00:04:32,400 –> 00:04:37,600
i’ll lay them in front of you
120
00:04:35,680 –> 00:04:41,120
uh thanks for listening uh if you have
121
00:04:37,600 –> 00:04:46,560
any comments please leave it behind
122
00:04:41,120 –> 00:04:46,560
have a great day wherever you are bye
