The baseball cap and the free spirit face

The baseball cap and the free spirit face
I used his name to cover my reddening face
It’s always the case, my mind consumes his face
How unfair for a unique saving grace

While he plays tic, tac, toe
And I play Shakespeare on the go
How many hearts did I break to let him go
Someone save me before they hate me so

Hundreds of poems only for him
Let me write one song only for them
And the one whose calm brings me to him
The Lord who gifts me all of them

My crazy nights and enlightening thoughts
I hope someone hears my echoing frights
As thoughts in my mind and some fighting nights
Lord help me please, will they forgive my mindful nights?
