Why am I writing this?
I have experienced an event in my recent past where I experienced some hurt, sadness, and anger as emotions.
Unlike other times, I have been struggling to let this go. Further to that, as someone who’s primary priority in life is to cultivate loving kindness, I did not like anger hanging around, creating ill wishes and bordering towards hate!
One day when it’s my time, I would love nothing less than thanking everyone, loving everyone, and leaving everyone, and proceed to where ever is next!
So here I was observing my mind chatter, when it reminded me the part I play in taking this Emotional energy to explosive levels!
That is when I drew/wrote below!
Translation of my potentially illegible handwriting.
- Hurt or Anger are merely emotions. They can just pass on if one lets them to.
- But, then comes thought bubbles (that cooks our emotions)
It was unfair!
After everything I’ve done!
How dare she/he?
Next time, I will say this!
Next time, when “this” happens, I will do “that”!
- These thoughts are like fuel to a fire!
- So when these “fuel” thoughts come up, it is best we have an immediate “water” thought!
It was unfair!
After everything I’ve done!
Yes It was! But it’s ok! Remember you did your best!
How dare she/he?
Quite Right! But maybe, that’s all they know!
Next time, I will say this!
Next time, when “this” happens, I will do “that”!
Darling, Why are you imagining (a) next event(s)? They may never happen!
