අංගුලිමාල, පන්සියයක් පමණ පිරිසකගේ ප්‍රාණ ගැන නොසිතුවේ ඇයි?

Why did Angulimāla, not consider lives of 500 people?

ඔහුට තමාගේ ගුරුවරයා ගැන තිබූ විශ්වාසය සහ ගෞරවය නිසා!

Because of the trust and respect he had for his teacher?

ගුරුවරයා කී දෙය වැරදි නම් හෝ,
ගුරුවරයා කී දෙය තේරුම් ගත් විදිය වැරදි නම් හෝ,
තවත් අංගුලිමාල වැනි පිරිසක් බිහි විය හැකි නොවේ ද?

Either if the teaching was wrong,
Or if the teaching was misunderstood,
Would it lead to creating a crowd of Angulimālas or not?

බුදු රජාණන් වහන්සේ, අංගුලිමාලටත් කරුණාව දැක්වූවා නොවේද?

Did not blessed Gauthama Siddhartha show love and compassion towards Angulimāla?

කරුණාව නිසා අංගුලිමාල, අරහත් වූවා නොවේද?

Didn’t compassion and love lead Angulimāla towards highest state of enlightenment?

එසේ නම්, අද කාලයේ අංගුලිමාල වැනි පිරිස පිළිබඳ අපි කුමක් කල යුතුද?

Then, How should we act towards today’s Angulimālas?

සියලු සත්වයෝ දුකින් මිදී, නිවන් දකිත්වා!
