Like The Sun that Shone, for A Shadow to be Seen!

In the Shadow of the Bodhi Tree
The Blessed One would have sat

But,
He couldn’t See His Shadow
Because He Saw It’s Shadow!

When “Thanhā” did her dance
And “Rathī” did hers too
When “Rangā” followed suit
He Saw the Real Shadow
He Saw his “Hidden Self”!

The “Self” within
That Wants and Rejects
And Delays to Think then Doubt!
Forever, and Ever
And Ever, to Never only Forevermore!

While seeing another’s shadow
Couldn’t see one’s own shadow

But,
Light from within showed
Dark from without!

Like The Sun that Shone
For A shadow to be Seen!
