Letters to Teachers – Written from the Monastery – 04

– A series of thank you letters / notes written to my most important teachers in Australia, written during my initial stay (or soon after) at Newbury Buddhist Monastery, Victoria, Australia –

Note: I strongly believe everything thing around us, everything within us (i.e. thoughts, emotions) teach us. My first teachers would have been my parents (the time I don’t even remember), then a series of teachers appeared. My Life in Australia, that started on my 30th Birthday (a few hours before) on 19th March 2010, was indeed the biggest growth spurt (spiritual) I’ve experienced. So these teachers I have thanked are some who helped my journey.

Letter to Louise (Louise Kennedy)

Today’s Situation:

I believe in reincarnation, and I believe I have previous life connections with Louise and her son Adam. Louise was a teacher, a friend, a sister, a partner (in crime), a mother, a daughter, and everything. I’ve often told her, that if it weren’t for my sexuality, I find her to be an extremely compatible partner, despite our age gap. (Interesting fact: Louise was born in the same year as my mother, on the same day as my father’s death anniversary).

I always felt equal to her, unlike with my other “teachers”, probably because she freely showed her weaknesses. We’ve both seen each others Good, Bad, and Ugly emotions. Most of the time, we have a start of day “how do we define our day” and end of day “what have we learnt” sessions. Even when we watched TV Series (Downton Abbey, Call The Midwife, The Indian Doctor, Etc), we were looking for the lessons.

One of the most memorable times in my life, and I cannot possibly thank her enough for picking my broken self up, and making a confident self.

She had seen me cry over a stupid crush (one of those never gonna happen ones), but never treated it silly or stupid. She was empathetic towards it, and always gave me hope.

And then I met the one I fell too damn deep. In fact, I’m still in Love. But I love me more, so will not let it hurt me. Louise Left to England the day after Lukas (the one I madly fell for) left to Switzerland.

Seeing Louise raise Adam, a typical teenager whose infamous line was “I know Mom, I know”, was a lesson in itself.

I Love them both dearly!
