Sometimes I wonder Why Gauthama Siddhartha, The previous Buddha, Did what he did

His Mom died when he was just a baby
But he would have known the love she had

His Aunt raised him till he became a handsome Prince
So he would have seen the love she has

His Dad taught him all the skills to make him the King
So he would have seen the love he has

He became the Buddha, but family came last
I mean he is the Buddha, doesn’t he know best
To return the Love, Give them this highest gift

When all are children of God
When all are connected to one another
When all are everything for him
He would have struggled to pick and choose

Who can grasp it easily
Who can let go of ego to receive from him
Who can treat him like an Adult
Who can let go of previous relationships to make a new connection
He would have picked and chosen

Six years goes by,
His son receives his love
The highest gift, from a father to a son

He was only a child
He was not polluted with ego
He was not seeking anything
He was not wanting anything
He was just happy to see him
Happy to see his Dad for the first time

Sometimes I wonder Why
Gauthama Siddhartha,
The previous Buddha
Did what he did
